'my tools' by 372.dpi

my tools, originally uploaded by 372.dpi.

I love notebooks and have never been able resist a pretty one, however far too many of them still lie empty. I've always kind saved them for "best" whatever that might be! I even have ones I bought as a teenager that are still waiting for "best". Sadly I don't have much use for notebooks any more (other than for writing my long 'to do' lists, but that's for another post). My hobbies are mainly computer based and of course you don't need to write much down when taking photos.

This photo of notebooks really caught my eye. I think because it's so close up. I think shots like this of everyday items can be so interesting as it makes you look at things in a completely different way. I also think the light and tone of this is fantastic. I hope these books get used for all sorts of interesting things.

  1. I don't know why but when I saw this picture I immediately thought of lazy hazy warm summer days. I really like the photo a lot...am also a notebook junkie. Still treasure the written word - and writing it. :)

  4. Oh I'm the same! I have so many pretty notebooks that I just cant write in, not really had a 'best' excuse but then I have cybermummy this weekend, now I just have the panic of which notebook do I take? and then I suppose it would be nice to buy a matching pen.. ;)

  6. that shot is so lovely! I'm the same really! I love notebooks, the way they look, feel and smell, and I always have the best intentions of writing in them regularly and maybe one day some distant great grandchild finding them and discovering some precious moments of my life, but I only ever manage to write for three days in a row max and then forget!!! Oh well, I'm sure I'll try again soon!
