'Wine At Esplanade' by Skeelogy

Wine At Esplanade, originally uploaded by Skeelogy.

I love this photo because to me it signifies a great night out. Two people hanging out with a fantastic view of the city and bottle of wine to share.

I love the blurry background and the fact that the city lights have become multi-coloured sparkles. But what fascinates me is the fact that image of the cityscape seen through the wine is not blurry (although upside down) so you can see what people holding these glasses can really see.

'Happy Easter' by Me

Happy Easter, originally uploaded by PhotoPuddle.

I know it's not Easter quite yet but I took this one today so I thought I'd share it with you - and it's always nice to share chocolate! I actually had a bit of a random object photo session today but this simple photo of some chocolate eggs was the only one I was really happy with. It was a harder image to capture than you'd think as the eggs kept rolling away from each other!

Would you believe that I haven't even eaten any of these yet? Perhaps I should go and rectify that right now.

'Deep Red Gerbera Daisy II' by laughlinc

Deep Red Gerbera Daisy II, originally uploaded by laughlinc.

This is the photo that jumped out today saying "Pick Me, Pick Me!!!!" and so I did. I love this deep red colour and I think close up shots of flowers can be so interesting. I really love how defined each petal is too. This is fantastic work which I think would actually look great blown up huge and displayed on a plain white wall.

'Take a seat, and examine your life.' by Joshua H.

I love the mood of this photo. The colour is fantastic and makes it looks really calm and peaceful even though it's a photo of New York.

Life can be so hectic. I think it's really important to find time to sit still for five minutes and just take it all in. And with a great view like this I definitely think I'd want to stay there for more than five minutes.

'valentine' by allencompanyinc

valentine, originally uploaded by allencompanyinc.

I am featuring this pretty photo because it makes me want to go shopping. I obviously need new clothes as mine don't look anywhere near as pretty hanging up. I love this concept - pretty clothes hanging up in the sunlight. Everything looks so wonderfully delicate and the colours are just perfect. The only problem here would be deciding which dress to wear.

'Daffodils!' by super ninon

Daffodils!, originally uploaded by super ninon.

More spring flowers! What a fantastic way of displaying a bunch of daffodils. I may just have to try this myself... if I can find enough vases in my house! As well as the pretty flower arrangement I love this photo because it has captured such a relaxed and chilled out atmosphere. You've just got to love spring.

'A perfect combination' by Me

A perfect combination, originally uploaded by PhotoPuddle.

I bought some flowers today. I have decided that I am going to buy flowers for my home every week. They brighten up the house so much and it means I'll always have something pretty to photograph. They don't even have to be expensive. The bunch I got today was rather small and sad looking. In fact the shop assistant wasn't going to sell them to me as they were passed their 'display until' date! In the end the manager sold them to me for 50p. So glad I got them as this is one of the photos I took. There is another photo I really like but can't decide which one I prefer. The other one is here - what do you think?

'42 and DEFINITELY...' by leslie sophia lindell

You know the phrase 'Dance like no one is watching'? Well this is what this photo says to me. It looks like the owner of these feet is have a fantastic time. The light on the floor makes me think it's day time which makes the dancing look even more carefree.

Of course the colours are great too. The turquoise and red are a really vibrant combination. And everyone needs to own at least one pair of red shoes!

'Blueberries' by 1bluecanoe

Blueberries, originally uploaded by 1bluecanoe.

This is such a fantastic photo of blueberries I just had to feature it here. They just look so... well, blue! And I love that the bowl matches too.

I'm not a big fan of blueberries so never bought them before my daughter was born. But now we always seem to have them in the house as they make such a good snack for a toddler and are really easy to chuck in a pot to take out with you.

I think that blueberries will forever have a place in my heart as they will always remind me of my daughter's toddler years!

'Old Pier - New Pier' by Andy C

Old Pier - New Pier, originally uploaded by Andy C - Brighton.

I am so in love with Brighton. I love both the piers as they are so interesting and really photogenic. The old West Pier has suffered such bad luck. Fires and storms have almost totally destroyed it but some how I think the more it crumbles the more interesting it becomes to photograph. It's very sad really. In total contrast Brighton Pier is full of life - night and day it's always busy.

I love how this photographer has managed to capture both the piers so brilliantly in one photo. Brighton Pier standing proud as West Pier shouts "hey, don't forget me, I'm wonderful too" in the background.

'screaming gerbra' by Pixel Addict

screaming gerbra, originally uploaded by Pixel Addict.

The weather has been beautiful this week. It was well and truly spring - my daughter and I even had a bit of a picnic in the park on Thursday. But then the weekend turned up and it's been rainy and miserable. I had been hoping for some spring time photo opportunities today but alas there were none.

Anyway, as an antidote to the greyness outside here is a fantastically colourful photo. I love the colours as they are so bright and vibrant and work really well together. I say it a lot, but it's a really happy picture! Perhaps it might encourage the sun to come back tomorrow.

'Summer time' by yani*_*

Summer time, originally uploaded by yani*_*.

When I look at this photo I can almost feel the warm sun on my face. I love the light and tone. It's also a fairly timeless shot that will remind you of summer holidays past and present, at home and abroad. Fantastic image of summer.

'Tulips by the fire' by Me

Tulips by the fire, originally uploaded by PhotoPuddle.

We went round to visit friends on Sunday and this was the first thing I noticed when I walked in the house. I really had to fight my photographic urges as I really wanted to get my camera out there are then. Anyway, after a gorgeous roast dinner and a walk by the river I finally bit the bullet and asked if they minded me photographing their fireplace. Of course they didn't mind and I don't think they thought I was too crazy either!

'Branches of Bokeh' by Neil1138

Branches of Bokeh, originally uploaded by Neil1138.

Not much to say tonight other than this photo is truly gorgeous. I love the light, the colours and the focus. It's such a bright and warm photo. Much like the weather was here today. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the weather stays lovely but I guess it has to go back to proper rainy March weather at some point!

'P is for Purple' by slightly above average

P is for Purple, originally uploaded by slightly above average.

This photo is so sweet. I love purple and the pile of purple books looks so cool. I love libraries too. I've always enjoyed going to them - as a child, as an adult and now I love taking my daughter.

I think all the little details in this are great. The 'P' in the background, the matching nail polish and the fact the book refers to ten little fingers and the child as her cute little fingers on the table.

P is for purple and it's also for pretty and perfect.

'Sleeping Beauty' by Me

Sleeping Beauty, originally uploaded by PhotoPuddle.

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there. I hope you've had a wonderful day and have been totally spoilt.

Today I am sharing with you a photo I took of my little girl last summer. I'll let you into a secret - she was actually asleep on my chest and I had the camera to hand so I just did a few arms length shots and this is what resulted. I love it, but of course I love any photo that she is in and trust me I take A LOT of her!

'Something for the Weekend!' by A guy called John

Well I just had to feature this on a Friday at some point. I love the dedication that went into fishing out the appropriate letters and arranging them so neatly on the plate. It's also made me quite fancy tinned spaghetti on toast. Hope you have a fantastic weekend everyone!

'Everthing but the ferris wheel' by Wunderlusting

Here is a photo of possibly the prettiest ferris wheel in the world! I love the pastel pink and the shape of the cars. I wonder what the bottom of this ride is like. I like this photo because it looks so dreamy and I think the clouds in the sky actually make the photos work even better than if it had been a clear day. I like to think that the rest of the fairground would have been just as pretty and full of girly colours and candy floss.

'365-68' by Rob Fry

365-68, originally uploaded by Rob Fry.

I have been eating far too much chocolate this week. I blame Make do mum, Easter eggs and friends with nice biscuits! Therefore I am going to get one of my five-a-day tonight with this delicious looking apple. It looks so crunchy and tasty! And I love the green background too. This photo is so bright and happy. It should definitely be a poster for healthy eating!

'a quiet place' by lady i swear by all flowers

Where do you do your blogging? I wish I had a place like this to sit with my computer. It seems so calm and peaceful and a great place for creative thoughts. It looks like there'd be a good view from the window for people watching as well. Pretty yellow laptop, lovely purple flowers, fantastic photo.

'Cup of tea' by Me

Cup of tea, originally uploaded by PhotoPuddle.

This is another example of how photography has taken over my life! Last summer we enjoyed a spot of lunch after a stroll round Sheffield Park Gardens in Sussex. However, instead of tucking into my sandwich (which I'd already taken a picture of) I was snapping shots of my husband's cup of tea.

'bubble bokeh' by nomadic tendencies

bubble bokeh, originally uploaded by nomadic tendencies.

I am using this photo as it has inspired me. I really want to take a photo as lovely as this of some bubbles. They are just so pretty and this is a fantastic capture.

I have tried but haven't managed it yet. I blame trying to do it single handedly. I can tell you it's not very easy to blow some bubbles, put the pot of bubble mixture down, pick up the camera and then take some photos (especially when you have a little girl next to you trying to pop them all). I think I will have to get in an assistant for this particular shot. My husband better be warned that he will shortly be spending time in the garden with a pot of bubble mixture! I shall let you know how I get on.

Round and round and round we go' by every day should be a holiday

A pretty photo tonight for all lovers of things crafty and pink! It's a simple shot but very well composed and the colours and tones are great. The only trouble is if it was mine I wouldn't want to actually take out any of the pins and use them as it would spoil the pattern!

'drifting' by gardinergirl

drifting, originally uploaded by gardinergirl.

Well, so far so good! I am very happy to report that March has been beautiful and sunny! Therefore I officially declare it spring! Even if it rains tomorrow it's been nice enough this week to believe that spring flowers and warm weather is not too far away.

I shall be looking up into the trees from now on with my camera in my hand looking for some beautiful spring blossoms to photograph. I hope I can take a photo as lovely as this one. It's a perfect blossom shot.

'Ironed shirts' by museumpiece

7/1/2010 - Ironed shirts, originally uploaded by museumpiece.

I hate ironing. Although if my ironing pile look more like this when I'd finished perhaps I'd be more willing to do it! This photo is great because it shows how even the most mudane of household things can be made to looks lovely. I mean, who'd have thought it was possible to make ironing look appealing?

A nice collection of blue shirts too!

'Delicate' by Me

Delicate, originally uploaded by PhotoPuddle.

I am adding this one of mine as I love the softness of it and the light that was streaming in through the window. It didn't get any comments on Flickr though so have had no feedback on a photo I really like. I hope it's not because it's rubbish. And if anyone can help me describe what it is that would be great. It's a ball of knitting material which is more like ribbon that yarn. Does that have a name? A ball of ribbon doesn't seem right!

'Mandarin' by Just B Photography

Mandarin, originally uploaded by Just B Photography.

There is no story behind my photo choice tonight, I just think it's a beautiful photo. It's one of those shots where less is more. I love how a great photographer can make an every day item look so pretty. I really like the bowl in this but most of all I love the colouring of the photo. So subtle and interesting.

'pink hydrangea' by *jardino

pink hydrangea, originally uploaded by *jardino.

Well what do you know - my spring wishes from yesterday came true! I woke up this morning to gorgeous sunshine, it was rather warm out and I spotted quite a few spring flowers getting ready to make their entrance into the world. What shall I wish for tomorrow I wonder?

Anyway, on to today's photo. I have picked this one because I think the close up detail is stunning. It is so sharp and clear. I love the crisp, bright colours too and the pink and blue compliment each other perfectly. Fantastic shot.
