This is the photo that jumped out today saying "Pick Me, Pick Me!!!!" and so I did. I love this deep red colour and I think close up shots of flowers can be so interesting. I really love how defined each petal is too. This is fantastic work which I think would actually look great blown up huge and displayed on a plain white wall.

ReplyDeleteWow. The color is so striking. Absolutely love it.
ReplyDeleteWow this is just perfect :-)
ReplyDeleteWhich lens did you use if I may ask?
Greetz,
Joseph
Hi Joseph, sadly I didn't take this photo. It was by a photographer on flickr called laughlinc.
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! Thanks so much for the kind comments on my pic. I'm glad you all enjoyed it. Joseph, I used the Nikkor 50mm 1.8 lens. I had read so many good things about it on Flickr and it's only about $100 so I went for it and haven't been disappointed. Since it's a prime lens, it took a little getting used to but I think I've gotten the hang of it.

ReplyDeleteHi laughlinc,
ReplyDeleteThank you for answering my question. It is a stunning picture :-)
I have purchased a similar lens a couple of weeks ago: Nikon 50mm F1.4 G. Also a great lens.
You can check my flickr or my blog to see the quality of the 1.4 G lens :-)
