'Victoria & Albert' by Gillsphotos

Victoria & Albert by Gillsphotos
Victoria & Albert, a photo by Gillsphotos on Flickr.
It's been so long since I've taken any beach hut photos myself so I'll just have to keep enjoying other peoples's. Here is one that particularly caught my eye. There are so many things to love about this image. The names for a start are really cute. Nicely done by the owners and well spotted by the photographer. I like the contrasting colour of these two huts as they are just so different even though the names suggest these are a matching pair. I was also really taken by the little details in the photograph such as the sightless wonky angle of the black and white hut and also check out the contrasting clouds in the sky. It looks like a lovely sunny day but is there actually a storm brewing?

'Fields' by Me

Fields by PhotoPuddle
Fields, a photo by PhotoPuddle on Flickr.
I've always wanted to take a picture in big field of wheat or something but never got around to finding a field in which to do this. It's funny how opportunities present themselves when you least expect it though isn't it? Whilst riding the Thomas the Tank engine train at Drusilla's last week we went past these picture perfect fields. Unfortunately my daughter who I was with at the time lost my attention as I snapped away at this view. Considering I didn't have much time to get to get the picture before I was whisked back to the world of Thomas and his train friends I am really pleased with the image I did manage to get.

'Wings' by CC happy day

I bet you never thought airports were particularly pretty places. Well think again because how lovely is this? For a start these planes are very girly and pretty but also the photographer has managed to make all the baggage and other airport vehicles look lovely too. Surely an airport that looked like this would never lose or break your luggage and there would definitely be no delays. And now back to the real world.....

'Prairie dog' by Me

Prairie dog by PhotoPuddle
Prairie dog, a photo by PhotoPuddle on Flickr.
Before our trip to the zoo on Monday I can't say I knew much about Prairie dogs but now I am quite a fan. I still don't know much about them to be honest but the ones I did see were really cute. There was a lot of love in their enclosure. There were some hugging and some appeared to be kissing and this one ever so kindly posed for a photo for me.

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!

'Surprise Snow Flurry Batters Wall Street Broker' by Lab2112

I'm sorry, I can't help it, I'm gong to have to mention the weather because it's seriously keeping us on our toes here this week. One minute it's boiling hot and we're slapping on the sun cream and the next minute the heavens have opened and it's pouring with rain. Therefore my prediction for tomorrow is displayed in this photo. I love how cold it looks there and how you can see how those snowflakes are coming down really hard. With snow like that I wonder how long it took to make the ground all white. Not long I'm guessing.

You never know, it could snow here tomorrow and to be honest I don't think anyone would be that surprised.

'Oxeye daisies' by Peter Daems

Oxeye daisies by Peter Daems
Oxeye daisies, a photo by Peter Daems on Flickr.
I am sharing this with you tonight because I am totally jealous of it. For some reason this summer I have started to notice just how many of these daisies there are around. Whenever I see them I really get the urge to photograph them. Trouble is they seem to like growing by the side of the road on grass verges and roundabouts so not exactly a practical place to stop and take photos. I therefore wish I'd been able to take a gorgeous picture like this. It's such a sunny image. I love how the sunshine has been captured and I love the warm red tones. Perhaps one day I'll take a picture like this myself. Until then I'll just stick to photographing the many little daisies I find on my lawn.

'Penguins' by Me

Penguins by PhotoPuddle
Penguins, a photo by PhotoPuddle on Flickr.
My husband took the day off and we went to the zoo today! We went to a place called Drusillas Park which is probably my favourite zoo because it's full of monkeys and monkey like animals. I love monkeys. These aren't monkeys though, these are penguins. Penguins are pretty cool too, just not as cute as monkeys.

This picture was actually quite hard to take as the penguins were really far away and also not doing anything particuarly interesting or close together. Luckily this little gang stepped out of hiding for long enough to get a few nice shots. I made it black and white simply because it was a rather colourless image and this makes it a bit more striking.

Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there. And of course extra special Father's Day hugs and kisses go out to my wonderful husband because not only is he a super awesome person to be married to, he's also the best dad in the whole wide world. I hope my children will always appreciate how lucky they are to have a daddy like him.

I love this father and son picture. OK so I've never actually seen any of the orginal Star Wars films or know anything about Stormtroopers but I do know that this is really cute. It's a brilliant idea that's really well executed. And I really love the extra detail of the little teddy bear as it makes the picture even more sweet.

Happy Father's Day!

'big wheel of fun' by BeliM

big wheel of fun, a photo by BeliM on Flickr.
I meant to post this fabulous picture last night but incredibly I fell asleep at about 8.30. I can't believe how shattered I am at the moment. Actually, that's a lie, of course I can believe I'm tired. I have a new baby for goodness sake. Well newish anyway, he's almost eight weeks old. Where has time gone?

Anyway, enough about me. Let's take a look at this great picture. I love photo taken at fairgrounds, especially ferris wheels. I think you know that already though as I've posted so many on here! What makes this one stand out is the angle it was taken at. It makes the wheel look huge. Of course I love the colours too.

Hope you are all having a fun-filled weekend!

'Little hands' by Me

Little hands by PhotoPuddle
Little hands, a photo by PhotoPuddle on Flickr.
Just wanted to share with you a photo from my Instagram which I really love. It's my son's hands as he sits in his buggy. Aren't they beautiful? Actually all baby's hands are wonderful aren't they? So tiny and so perfect. When I got my mobile phone out to take this photo he actually moved his hands which was very annoying, but then he ever so kindly put them back where they were so I could get this shot. This is definitely a picture that will make me smile if I am feeling down.

I am getting so bored of this cold, wet and miserable weather. I don't want a heatwave or anything, I'd just like it to be warm enough for my little boy to be able to wear the gorgeous summer clothes that people have been kind enough to buy him. At this rate he'll have grown out of them by the time the sun comes out again.

I love puddle pictures like this though. This one is so well observed. I wonder who that man in the photo is. And I love how the reflection in the puddle is so clear. You'd think it would be all murky but it's just as sharp as it would have been if it was a direct shot.

Fingers crossed there won't be many opportunities for puddle pictures round here for a while. I need sunshine!

'Little flowers' by Me

Little flowers by PhotoPuddle
Little flowers, a photo by PhotoPuddle on Flickr.
I am posting this photo tonight because I love it and what make it even better is that it is one of mine. As well as thinking it's really pretty I also love the story behind it. Basically my daughter is always presenting me with things she picks up when she's out. Usually I end up with a pocket full of twigs and stones but the other day when I got home I realised I had these pretty flowers (as well as an assortment of twigs). I popped them in a little shot glass and what do you know a really pretty display just waiting to be photographed.

It's been a fantastic weekend full of family love. On Saturday we had had a lovely chilled out day just us four. Our little boy has suddenly become so much more interactive so it's fun playing with him and getting those beautiful smiles. Then today we had my sister and family visiting and it was great to see all the cousins getting on so well. They are all besotted with my son too which makes me so happy.

This is a wonderful photo full of family love. I believe it is a picture of some children snuggling with their daddy on Father's Day. The photographer has managed to beautifully capture a precious moment.

Here's a rather fun photo for a Friday - a snail having a look at a pretty flower. It's really eye catching because of it's quirkiness and it's also very impressive because it's a really well taken photo. I love a nice crisp clear image like this and I think it was a great idea using mirrored surface in the shot.

Happy weekend everyone. Here's hoping it's not too much of a wet one.

Untitled, a photo by somethings hiding in here on Flickr.
I have nothing to wear. To be honest I have lots of clothes but have decided I'm feeling rather uninspired by them. I need a good wardrobe cull and a huge shopping spree. I have tried to buy a few new things lately but I still need to find time to have a proper rummage through my hangers and drawers. I know there are probably lots of clothes hiding there which I've forgotten about as I wouldn't have seen them since I got pregnant at the end of last summer. I hope it turns out I have loads of brilliant items which I never wore but look fabulous on me. Fingers crossed!

Here is a clothing related photo which I think is rather fun. When you think of bow ties you generally imagine black ones or something rather nerdy but these are actually rather pretty. I love how they have been photographed all on top of each of each other like this. Means it's a very busy but colourful image. A great way of displaying this collection of neckwear.

'Barcelona' by Me

Barcelona by PhotoPuddle
Barcelona, a photo by PhotoPuddle on Flickr.
Here is a quick flashback to our holiday in Barcelona last year. We were only there a day before the unfortunate splitting my head open incident but in that short space of time I had already taken loads of photos. There was so much to take pictures of I wish we'd got to see more. I think windows like this make a great subject for a photo. They are really pretty to look at and also get you wondering what is going on behind each one. Or perhaps that's just me because I'm a nosey old thing.

Well it's Sunday night but it may as well be Friday as we still have two days of weekend ahead of us - hooray! And look at me, I've managed to blog everyday of June so far. OK so it's only the 3rd June but it's a promising start.

Here is a fantastic photo. As usual when it comes to flowers I know nothing about the types. I just know what looks pretty and this is a very pretty photograph. I imagine this was just a rather ordinary bunch of flowers but the photographer has made it look really special. The colours and tones are beautiful.

So for those of you who are having a long weekend due to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee are you having a nice time? Are you doing anything special yourself to mark the occasion? We have lots planned with friends and family this weekend but not doing anything in particular to celebrate. I thought, therefore, that I would put a celebratory picture on my blog and I chose this one. It's another case of 'what's not to love?'. It's a really well taken photo. I love the detail of the wooden table. I love all the Union Jack stuff that's about at the moment. I also love chocolate cake! Have fun everyone!

I must apologise to my little blog for neglecting it this past month. Unfortunately, I've just not had the time to spend on it. Well I say unfortunately but it's not exactly been terrible using the time looking after and getting to know my new baby boy. I do miss blogging though so now it's June I am going to make sure I post more. I hope you'll still be visiting.

Here is a lovely image to start the month with. Also here in the UK we're about to have a super long Bank Holiday weekend so another reason to celebrate with a pretty photo. And a camera and flowers, what's not to love!
