'Glacier Aurora - Jökulsárlón' by orvaratli

I was a bit dubious about posting something so stunning after my little nesting doll photo but I couldn't wait to share this with you. It's a photo of Aurora - or Northern Lights - that was taken in Iceland. I would so love to see this for myself. Hopefully one day I will and I might just take some photos as well!

I don't really need to tell you why I think this photo is so great. If you didn't know what the Northern Lights were you might be thinking this was taken on another planet and aliens are about to pop out from behind the rocks. Amazing photo of an amazing sight.

  1. OMG. What a stunning, stunning photo.

  2. is this real? it's wonderful!

  3. I'd love to see the Northern Lights. Mum says we saw it once when we were kids and still lived in Aberdeen...but I was 5 going on 6 when we moved and my first vivid memory is when I was 3...so typically, I don't remember.

It is a stunning phenomena! x

  4. Kaya - Yep, the Northern Lights are real. Bit more info here if you are interested.

  5. wow! ya it really does look alien..or sci-fi like!

great photo..thanks for sharing this one...and it is a wonderful contrast to your sweet sepia doll closeup.....variety is the spice of life....

    and photography!

    have a creative day....ciao bella!
