Well here's some proof that perhaps my daughter and I have spent too much time in coffee shops over the past few years. I found this set up in her doll's house the other day and it really made me smile. She's so imaginative. In fact this is just the sort of thing I'd have created with my toys when I was a little girl.

I am posting this photo as this is what I did today. I got to play with my old Fisher Price record player which I hadn't realised my sister had kept from our childhood. So many memories... I think most of my childhood toys were Fisher Price ones which then progressed on to Sindy and Barbie stuff. You should have seen the excitement on my face when I got the Barbie Dream House one Christmas.

Anyway, whilst looking for Fisher Price pictures I stumbled across this one which I thought was very pretty. Love the bokeh and the soft colours. It's a really artistic shot. I also think they chose the right colour record to use. The other ones would have been to bright.

Maybe I'll go look for Barbie Dream House images now.....

I love nesting dolls. I even collated a Flickr gallery of some of my favourite nesting doll photos. However, I'd never got around to taking any myself until today. Whilst playing with my little girl in her room I spied the ones a friend had bought for her on holiday and grabbed my camera and snapped away. I am sure my daughter thought I was a little crazy. Anyway, I think this one is my favourite. It made me smile because it's like a proper portrait shot of the doll and she almost looks like she's posing on purpose for me.

I love taking photos as you know but unfortunately there aren't a lot of opportunities for fantastic photoshoots during the day. Therefore, I tend to take a lot of photos of random objects around the house - more often than not my daughter's toys. The other day we were playing with her toy cars together when inspiration hit me. Here is the result. I can also confirm that about a second after this was taken she snatched the car back off me and wanted to get back to actually playing! I'm sure she'll appreciate my photographic record of her toys when she's older!

I am posting this today for my little girl. She is totally obsessed with Peppa Pig! It used to be all about 'In The Night Garden' but that's old news now. Now it's Peppa all the way! Seriously, shove an episode or two of that on and you have total peace and quiet!!

For those of you who haven't got a clue what I am going on about, Peppa Pig is a children's cartoon which is actually rather good! My favourite character is Daddy Pig though - he's funny! Anyway......

This photo made me smile! Anything Peppa Pig related makes me smile as I know it makes my daughter happy. I love the bright colours and how the shine has been captured so well on the the character's body. But most of all I love the speed. It looks like the toys have escaped from the toy box and are having a great time racing round the living room!
