'colorful daisies' by _poseidon_
And no, this photo isn't anything to do with sports or London 2012. It's just a bright and colourful photo that that I really liked and makes me feel a little summery even though it's rain outside again!
Hope you're having a lovely weekend.

'Colourful sweets' by jo mclure
I love this sweetie filled photograph. I love all the colours and detail. It definitely makes me fancy pick 'n' mix (because I've not eaten enough Haribo yet!). I really like that the sweets are displayed in wooden boxes like this. How can anything displayed in a rustic looking box like this be bad for you?

'Flower Power 6758' by mjhpdx2
After all the beautiful spring weather we've been having lately it was a bit of an anti-climax to see drizzle and grey skies today. Fingers crossed the sunshine comes back soon. In the meantime I need to keep the bright colours alive and I thought this picture would hit the spot. These bright primary colours are an instant mood lifter. And I like that the photographer has done something different when presented with a bunch of flowers. It's so easy just to take a general picture of flowers in vase but this really is thinking outside the box. Oh and check out the little detail in that water drop. Very cute. Hope this picture makes you smile too.

'Burst of colour' by Me
I've been having a bit of a clear out of the photos sitting about doing nothing on my computer and turns out there are some nice ones that have previously been overlooked. I had to look twice at this one as I wasn't sure what it was. At first I thought it looked like tiny lilttle balls or beads but quickly remembered it was a view of the little ball pit we had for our daughter when she was a baby. I thought I'd share this picture with you as I thought it was time for a great big burst of colour!

'yarn' by ·meisi·
I have a huge wool stash which is sitting around doing nothing. I worked out that I've not really done any knitting in about four years. This led me to make the decision that it might be time to hide it away somewhere such as the loft - I wouldn't be able to bring myself to actually get rid of it as I WILL knit again one day and I WILL learn to crochet! However, after making this big decision today I then went and saw three things that made me question my plans.
Firstly I spotted an advert in the local paper for a new wool shop that had opened near me and I couldn't help but get excited. I love have a good rummage through all the different yarns and pretending to myself I'm going to knit something fantastic. Then I stumbled across this gorgeous photo. I love all the colours. They're just so bright and pretty. I want all these balls of wool. And a pretty chairs like this to keep them on of course. And then finally I just saw this blog post. I have been thinking about getting some letters for my daughter's room and this is a fantastic idea.
Now, what on earth am I meant to do? I think the wool gods might be trying to tell me something........

'color bar' by smac.pic
I thought this was a rather a good Friday night photo. I am always in search of great photos taken in clubs and bars because I think it's very hard to take them and get all the lighting just right. This one has achieved it though and I especially love the purple. The reflection on the bar is really well captured too. Happy weekend folks!

'JellyBabies' by Jacknalfiesmum
Once again I've been abscent from the online world for a few days but that's because I'm been busy having an awesome weekend. It was a rather busy one which included dinner and dancing with the girls, a kid's birthday party, chilling indoors out of the rain and meeting the fabulous Derren Brown (which was definitely the highlight of the weekend).
I am now snuggled up in bed eating jelly babies and so here is a fantastic jelly baby photo. I just love all the bright colours. I've often tried taking pictures of objects using bright paper but not patterned paper so may have to give this a ago myself. I'd use the jelly babies but I'm not sure there'll be any left by tomorrow!

'Tomatoes' by ~ Maria ~
When I saw this I knew it would be perfect to post whilst we are having such gorgeous weather here. I love all the summery colours, they are just so fresh and crisp and juicy. I really fancy a tomato now which is amazing really as I don't even like them normally.
Happy weekend everyone, hope your weekend has so far been as colourful and vibrant as this photo is.

'Sunflower HDR' by Sheephead_
I hope your week has started well. If not let's start it off again with a huge burst of colour! I always love photos of sunflowers because I love the bright cheerful colours so imagine how happy I was when I saw this one. It's just all about the colour. That bright pink, yellow and green just jump right off the screen at you don't they? An instant mood lifter if ever I saw one.

'Parachute' by Me
Thought I'd go for something a bit abstract today. Can you guess what it is? You probably did as as you saw the title of this photo but just in case you didn't see, it's the inside of a parachute. And by parachute I don't mean I've been jumping out of planes - it's a big colourful one children use for playing games with. I took this at my daughter's toddler group Christmas party. I was of course taking pictures of her but with such a colourful photo opportunity in front of me I just had to point the camera upwards!
I think bright multicoloured photos are great but it's amazing how hard it is to find fantastic colours like this to take pictures of. Considering I didn't have much time to take this I think it worked out pretty well.

'A Balanced Brickfast' by powerpig
I really like this photo. I like it because it's quirky and creative. My favourite thing about it is definitely the colours though. So bright and happy. I think this would actually make a rather nice poster. Not sure where I would put it but I think it would look great nonetheless.
It also reminds me of breakfast time. I do rather like a refreshing bowl of cereal in the morning. I remember for years I never even bothered with breakfast at home. It's only now I'm at home with my daughter that we share this meal together. And by share I mean we have a bowl of cereal each but he helps herself to mine while I'm eating then makes a start on her own. So that means she gets one and a half breakfasts and I just get half. Oh well, I guess that's a good dieting tip!
Anyway, enough of my waffle (mmm, waffles.....). Now just enjoy this photo. Hope it makes you smile!

'True colors are beautiful like a rainbow' by neloqua
I don't really have a lot to say tonight. I just thought it was about time I posted a brightly coloured photo. I like this one as it's simple but so summery and bright. It has really captured that summer holiday round the swimming pool feeling. I only wish it was warm enough to fancy diving in!

'Be happy' by Me
Today's photo isn't exactly a work of photographic genius but I just wanted take something bright and fun today. I also couldn't resist playing with these colourful foam letters. I am actually rather pleased with the result. It certainly looks bright and happy and I think the colours work really well together. I hope you are having a happy day!

'vintaged London !' by fiedua
There are so many places in London that I think are really cool and Neal's Yard in Covent Garden is one of them. The buildings are so colourful and make a fantastic photo. Here is one I particularly like. It makes the place look really interesting and inviting and I think the vintage tones work so well. It really could have been taken in any of the past few decades.

'Candy colored Portobello Road (365/145)' by JenniPenni
I love rows of multi-coloured houses! I think they are so pretty and you'd have to be happy living there. I do wonder though how the house colours were chosen. Did all the residents pick a colour out of a hat? And what if someone wants to paint their house? Does it have to go to a special colour commitee? I am thinking about this way too much aren't I?!
I think this picture is brilliant. The houses are such great colours but what makes it really come alive is the fantastic sky. The photo works much better, I think, for having those amazing clouds that it would have done if it were just a completely clear day.

'Call a spade a spade' by Me
I have realised I've not really posted much of my own photography so far this month. I guess I'm not being inspired so much by my own photos at the moment, especially as I keep finding so many amazing images by really talented photographers.
I was therefore finding it hard to pick one of my own to feature tonight (even harder trying to avoid more shots of beach huts and tulips!) so I thought I'd ask Flickr what to post. Here is, according to Flickr, my most "interesting" photo - whatever that means! I do like it luckily. I like it because it was taken on a beautiful day out in Littlehampton. This was the only shot I took of these spades (as I wasn't sure if you were allowed to hang out in a beach front shop taking photos of the merchandise!) so I am pleased it turned out OK.

'grandpa pig's train' by jacquelinetinney
I am posting this today for my little girl. She is totally obsessed with Peppa Pig! It used to be all about 'In The Night Garden' but that's old news now. Now it's Peppa all the way! Seriously, shove an episode or two of that on and you have total peace and quiet!!
For those of you who haven't got a clue what I am going on about, Peppa Pig is a children's cartoon which is actually rather good! My favourite character is Daddy Pig though - he's funny! Anyway......
This photo made me smile! Anything Peppa Pig related makes me smile as I know it makes my daughter happy. I love the bright colours and how the shine has been captured so well on the the character's body. But most of all I love the speed. It looks like the toys have escaped from the toy box and are having a great time racing round the living room!

'Spring is in the air' by Craft & Creativity
Why doesn't my kitchen look this pretty? The colours are just so lovely and happy. It makes me think that whatever this person cooks it tastes delicious and they never make a mess when cooking either! I can't imagine stacks of washing up waiting to be done either. This photo is great because it's just a small portion of the kitchen but it really make me want to see the rest of it.
