I love this photo because the light in it is just gorgeous and the shadow of the grass on the book is lovely. This image makes me want to grab a book and go sit outside in the sunshine (although there's not much sunshine right now as it's 10 o'clock at night and dark outside). I especially love the little details such as the title of the chapter with the cup of tea sitting in the grass. Hopefully I'll get a chance to sit outside and read in the sunshine at some point in the not too distant future.

'145/365 Read to forget' by Gibson Claire McGuire Regester
It's rather chilly out. Winter is just round the corner. I don't mind too much, but that's probably because it's still quite sunny and I am enjoying wearing my winter clothes again. Some old favourites and some new ones like my new furry boots. I'll probably be OK with the winter weather until Christmas because there's always lots going on to distract me. It's January, February and March which are the coldest and longest months for me! Especially if it snows again like last winter.
All this winter talk made me think it'd be nice to post something a bit summery. So for all those of you out there who are experiencing weather a little colder than you'd like here is a lovely summer picture. I just love the colours. The golden tones are just beautiful and I love the red dress. I think I'd rather like to be in that photo myself right now!

'bliss' by lizbeth*
I can't believe it's Sunday night already. Where has the weekend gone? My favourite part of the weekend definitely has to be taking my little girl to the swimming pool. We're trying to go fairly regularly now and it's easier to get the motivation now the weather is so nice. She's getting so confident in the water now. She was even swimming about all by herself today (with her armbands on of course). I am just so very proud of her and she makes me so happy.
Another swimming pool scenario that would make me happy is pictured here. The photographer has called this photo 'bliss' and I couldn't agree more. The light and tone of this photo really capture that laid back summer vibe. How lovely to spend an afternoon by the pool with a drink and a good book.

'I am a mother...' by {life through the lens}
The power of the blog is amazing. I wrote a post yesterday about how blissful it would be going to the beach with my daughter and after I posted I agreed with myself. It would be lovely to go to the seaside with my little girl so we went to Brighton for the day today and had a fabulous time!
I totally love being a mother and every day my little girl becomes more and more my little best friend. Only eighteen months old but she can be so kind and caring, and she has a brilliant sense of humour. She also shares my love of shoes! (Of course I am writing this post through rose-tinted glasses and completely ignoring any of the training she's currently undergoing for the terrible twos!)
Anyway, I thought this photo would be perfect to go with this post tonight. It's so simple but I think very powerful. Mother is in capital letters as it's so important and the flower lies next to it showing the beauty of motherhood. More excellent work from very a talented photographer.

'in his element' by penwren
So April was warm and sunny and made us think that summer was on the way. But May has been flippin' freezing so far! Had my flip flops all poised and ready but nope it's back to trainers and boots!
I love this photo because it looks so blissful. It would be nice if the weather was nice enough to sit outside and chill out even if it meant wearing an extra layer. And how perfect it would be to spend an afternoon sat by the sea with a good book in hand. Saying that though, I doubt I'll get any kind of afternoon free to spend with a book any time soon, by the seaside or otherwise! Perhaps I'll make do with an afternoon at the beach with my daughter throwing pebbles into the sea. I'd say that was pretty blissful too.
