I don't know if you've ever heard of a photographic effect called tilt-shift but I think it's awesome. Here's an amazing example of it. Basically it's a process that makes normal photos look like minature scale models. To be honest I don't know a lot about it but the effect can be achieved either by using a special lens or faking it with photo editing software. Either way it looks really cool!
