'his and hers' by kirstinmckee
I think this is a great weekendy photo. It looks like a nice quite afternoon in the pub and the photographer has captured a lovely warm atmosphere. I also love the focus in this - it really is all about the alcohol!
Hope you're having a nice relaxing weekend!

'lazy summer afternoon' by SuperDewa
Happy weekend everyone. I hope the next couple of days are filled with scenes like this. What a truly wonderful summer photo. I had hoped that this summer would be filled with afternoons in the sunshine like this but sadly it was not to be. Although saying that even though the weather's been pretty poor we've still managed a few barbecues and drinks outside with friends. And we've still got August to come! This photo is great because it captures the warm weather perfectly. What really makes it more than just a snapshot is the fact that only the wine glass is really in focus. Very effective. Mmmm, I fancy a glass of wine now....

'leave no trace' by Mel Oklap
I find this photo rather mesmerising. It's one of those photos that has a story to tell and I can't help wondering what that story is. I love photos like that. Is the woman happy or sad? Even thought we can't see her face or even her head, I sense she is deep in thought but about what? And I love the colour of this it just works so well. What does this photo say to you?

'Wine At Esplanade' by Skeelogy
I love this photo because to me it signifies a great night out. Two people hanging out with a fantastic view of the city and bottle of wine to share.
I love the blurry background and the fact that the city lights have become multi-coloured sparkles. But what fascinates me is the fact that image of the cityscape seen through the wine is not blurry (although upside down) so you can see what people holding these glasses can really see.

'Red bubbles' by Me
I get so engrossed in looking for fantastic photos from other people I keep forgetting that this blog is meant to be about my photos as well. Anyway, here is one of mine which I like because it looks far more impressive than it really is. It's just a red coloured wine glass filled with fizzy water. I turned on the macro setting then just pointed my camera in the glass and hey-presto a really cool shot! I love these wine glasses so I am really pleased I found a great way to photograph one!

'Corks' by Me
Another one of my own photos tonight I think. Am posting this one because I would have loved it if someone else had taken it so am chuffed it's mine! I just like the simplicity of it and I think the sepia makes it even crisper even though the original colour is not far off this.
I would like to make a disclaimer though. This is not just an average week of drinking! I have collected corks for years. No idea why, I just liked them and it seemed a shame to throw them away. Now wine bottles are mainly screwed top I am really pleased I have all these corks for no other reason than I was able to take this photo. Perhaps I'll think of something else to do with them soon.
