Well summer appears to be sticking around, it was another hot and sunny day today. I am sure there were a lot of people sitting outside today trying to top up their tan. I also suspect there are a lot of people who look a bit like lobsters tonight. In fact a day like this would be a busy one for a sun lounger therefore looking this picture made me feel a little sad. All this sun lounger wants is to make someone's holiday happy but it really isn't holiday season. I think this photo is great. To start with, it's a rather powerful shot - it actually got me talking about a sun lounger like it's a human being! Also the composition is just right. That grey expanse of cloudy sky really sums up what the picture's all about. The best bit though has to be the red umbrella. I'm always saying this but a splash of colour like this (espcially red) in an otherwise somber coloured photo is very striking.

'Ready for sunbathing' by Me
I'm not sure if the computer / internet is going to let me post this as I appear to be having problems posting photos on my blog tonight. That is a bit of a problem when you have a blog that's "all about the photos"! Therefore I won't say much about this other than to say I took it in Brighton last week. In amongst all the colourful deckchairs there were these two sun loungers. I really like this picture as it looks like it was taken on a foreign holiday when it was just an afternoon at the beach in England. I'm glad I managed to take this picture when I did as shortly afterwards two people came a long and decided to use them. Hooray for the British summer!

'Untitled' by satoko yugari
My favourite thing about this picture is the colour as I think yellow and blue makes such a bright and striking combination! I also think the palm tree in the top right hand corner really works well. But this is really one of those photos where I shouldn't need to explain why I love it. I am posting it though because I've just checked the weather forecast for next week and it's not looking good. In fact it ranges from "Light Rain" to "Thundery Showers". Oh well, I guess I'll just have to look at this lots and pretend I am sitting on one of those sun loungers.

'The view from above' by christineellen
I love the angle that this was taken from, it's a really interesting shot of a swimming pool. I am also fascinated by the woman in the pool. It looks like she's standing still. Is she posing for this photo? My favourite thing is probably the purple sun loungers just because I do like purple, it's a really striking colour.
This also makes me want to go on holiday somewhere hot. I'm getting rather bored of all the rain here now. Come back sunshine, we miss you!!
