'Wings' by CC happy day

I bet you never thought airports were particularly pretty places. Well think again because how lovely is this? For a start these planes are very girly and pretty but also the photographer has managed to make all the baggage and other airport vehicles look lovely too. Surely an airport that looked like this would never lose or break your luggage and there would definitely be no delays. And now back to the real world.....

'Air France over Maho Beach 2' by Arian Durst

Air France over Maho Beach 2, originally uploaded by Arian Durst.

I thought I'd post something a little different tonight so this one is especially for Unknown Mami. She said she liked seeing pictures of gerber daisies, bridges and oddities and I was intruiged by what photos I could find that could be called an oddity. I don't know if this counts but I think it's pretty amazing. It's not a fake photo, this is a real place in the Caribbean. It was taken on Maho Beach which is on the island of Sint Maarten. Directly next to the beach is the runway of Princess Juliana International Airport which is so short the planes really have to get down low to touch down as soon as possible. I think having a plane fly so low over head head would freak me out a little but apparently it's a really popular spot of plane spotters. I hope you all find this as weird and fascinating as I do!

'Bag to the Future' by samirdiwan

Bag to the Future, originally uploaded by samirdiwan.

I still don't think I've added enough colour to this blog so here's one to keep the colour moving. Unsurprisingly the thing I most love about this is the colour! The bright purple is just fantastic. The composition is great too. It is just an image of an ordinary moving walkway in an airport but because of the colour and the angle it's really been taken to another level. It looks like something from the future. Perhaps in the year 3010 all airports will look like this.
